Description
A very stylish original chased late Georgian oblong silver entree dish decorated with truly impressive floral embossing to the upper dish (cover) which is then set on a matt background for contrast. Â The lower dish (base) is plain formed in design to the body but has a shell and gadroon decorated applied rim. Â The contrast between chased upper dish and plain lower dish is incredibly unusual and shows supreme creative design (thinking) by the highly renowned Benjamin Smith dynasty!
