A rare and extremely collectable mid-sized 17th century silver porringer and cover. Â The lower section of the body is beautifully decorated with acanthus leaf hand chasing and the upper section is plain formed for decorative contrast. Â The detachable domed lid has additional acanthus leaf hand chasing and is crowned with a delightful finial. Â The centre front has a beautiful contemporary armorial for importance.
