Description

A very beautiful Charles II porringer decorated with delightful hand chased scenes of a dog chasing a “fleeing” deer through foliate surrounds.  The upper section of the body is plain in design for decorative contrast and there are two stylish figural handles.

 

Weight:  12.47 troy ounces/388 grams

Height:  4.4 inches/11cm

Width:  8 inches/20cm (back of handle to back of opposite handle)

Diameter:  4.5 inches/11cm

Condition:  Excellent throughout.  Makers mark (H) registered page 126 of the Jacksons Gold & Silver Marks reference book.
