A very rare quart sized William & Mary silver tankard and cover. Boasting an elegant plain formed cylindrical hammered body with a delightful and extremely rare teardrop beading on the lid and handle for decorative highlights. The tankard has an excellent patina and a wonderful lions crest on the cover and bares an ornate cast thumb piece. The body has original hand engraved initials and the base has a historic inscription dated 1690.
