A large and incredibly fine mid 18th century quart sterling silver baluster tankard and cover decorated with ornate Victorian era floral hand chasing throughout. The domed lid is hinged and has an elegant cast wire thumbpiece. The centre front has an elaborate cartouche in which sits a contemporary engraved armorial for importance.
